“Taco”
Interactive Art Exhibit

Grad Show 2025
Taco is the Dinosaur model I made for my graduation project. Taco is an interactive exhibit that used a camera and code in conjunction with 3D art and animation to create an exhibit that felt alive. Taco was made using blender and a Sub-D workflow. I built him using scientific images and data to give it some realistic proportions and details. The code was done by a colleague who I worked with closely to make sure the project progressed smoothly and we both had what we needed.
There are 12 total animations 6 idle animations and 6 interactive animations totalling about 1 minute total. I used 6 idle animations to help create the feeling that Taco is alive because there is less repetition in its movements. The idle animations were each set to different percent changes of activating to give variation to his movement. The 6 interactive animations were made to express how Taco might respond if an animal could understand the meaning of the gesture.
